Celebrate 35 years with neighbors and friends!

Portland, Oregon: Whether you bike it, walk it or drive to it, join Hawthorne Merchants, local non-profits and local vendors for live music, excellent children’s activities, lots of fun and great
food. End your summer with friends while gathering new information and/or must have items for school, home or work.
Hawthorne Boulevard stretches from the Drawbridge on the Willamette River to the Volcano in Mt. Tabor Park. Businesses and eating establishments are located along the entire length,
however, the Boulevard area permitted to be closed is from SE 30th Avenue to Cesar Chavez Blvd. (SE 39th). Activities extend further east to New Seasons Market, The Fernie Brae and more. A detailed map will be available at the Information Booth on SE 34th and Hawthorne.
Stages at SE 34th and SE 38th will add to the fun along with a special transportation focused area near SE 35th Place. In addition, bike racks will be located between SE 31st and Cesar Chavez and a parking lot for vehicles is located at Central Christian Church, 1844 SE Cesar Chavez.
“Hawthorne Boulevard has become one of Portland’s most popular shopping destinations in recent years,” according to Gregg Harris, owner of Roosevelt’s Terrariums and HBBA’s Co-President. “It’s a cultural treasure with many historic buildings and long-standing businesses such as the Bagdad Theater, Fred’s Sound of Music, JaCiva’s Chocolatiers, Presents of Mind and 37th Street Salon.
The HBBA Board of Directors looks forward to hosting our community for this iconic event that has progressed from a single parking lot 35 years ago to a venue that can host many
thousands of our neighbors and friends.
About the Hawthorne Boulevard Business Association: HBBA exists to promote the general business welfare of its members and establishments bordering SE Hawthorne Boulevard from SE 12th Avenue to SE 60th Avenue. It strives to develop and preserve
Hawthorne Boulevard through community involvement as a desirable place to work, shop and live. To learn more about Hawthorne Boulevard Business Association and its growing

Future 2018 Boulevard activities include a Pumpkin Carving Contest in October and the Holiday Gift Guide publication and Tree Lighting ceremony in December.
